Knock The Vote 2018

Knock the vote 2018

“Knock the vote 2018” displayed different older men and women, challenging the youth to action and vote. It begins with a group of actors playing elderly Trump supporters and talking about why they voted and will continue to do so. They then proceed to tease young people for acting on their frustrations by liking Instagram memes, going to “one of those little marches” and sharing videos like this one on Facebook — but not actually voting.

They are trying to get the point across that voting is actual really important. By not voting you give up on a chance to choose leaders and representatives who will do things that are important to them. Nobody can force a citizen to vote. But many citizens do vote, because voting lets them tell the government what they want it to do.

The purpose of every government is to develop and implement various policies for the benefit of its citizens. It also enables the person with the right to question the government about issues and clarifications. Voting is the way to express the opinion of a citizen in a democratic nation.

Those ballots elect officials to represent their views in government, and create policies and form decisions that will make ripples across every facet of government. The impacts of voting and political decisions touch nearly every facet of daily life, from safety, to housing, to education, and even our health. This is why voting is so important, and why this ad came to be.
